Options include:
The Educatecard prepaid card program has been discontinued and all accounts closed, as of December 31, 2019. If you had any remaining balance on your EducateCard, those funds will be sent, by check, to the mailing address on file with your EducateCard account by January 31, 2020.
Q: Will I be receiving a check?
A: If you had a balance on your EducateCard account after December 31, 2019, you will receive a check for the remaining account balance. If you are uncertain whether you had a balance, contact us at 888.373.7905.

All checks for EducateCard balances were mailed on January 28. It may take several days for the check to arrive. If it has been more than a week, please contact support@educatecard.com.

Why choose ACH for a refund or for payments from your school?
You can use your existing relationship with a bank simply by providing your account information quickly and conveniently online. ACH provides you with access to funds via your existing checking or savings account in 2-3 business days.

What kind of school refunds can be deposited via ACH?
Examples can include:
- Financial Aid awards
- Scholarship awards
- Dropped or cancelled courses
- Credit balances after application of waivers or exemptions
Federal law requires that tuition-related refunds be sent to the registered student.

How are funds transferred to an account via ACH?
When selecting the ACH option for refunds, have your checking or savings account information available, including:
- Bank Name
- Account Number
- Routing Number
When funds are released by the school, they will then be processed for transfer from the school to the account number of the registered student. Access to these funds generally takes 2-3 business days. Access may vary depending on your bank's processes. Please check with your bank for more information.
You may choose to have refunds processed and mailed by paper check. Paper checks will be made payable to the registered student.

Why choose a Paper Check for a refund or for payments from your school?
Your school may have provided you with other choices, but you may simply prefer to have a paper check mailed to you in 7-10 business days.

How long does it take for a paper check to be processed and mailed?
The processing and mailing of paper checks for refunds or payments will vary by school, however you should expect to receive funds approximately 10 days after they are released by your school.*
Once you receive the paper check, simply sign, cash, or deposit it.**
*Time may vary based on your school's processing schedule, as well as other factors such as the mailing destination, inclement weather impacting delivery, and other delays unrelated to your school's process.
**If the check is cashed at a bank other than one you have an account with, a processing fee may be charged.
